This is a full-time role, working Day shift (7:00-4:00 or 7:30-4:30 - NO Weekends), with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, and a full Benefits Package. The Warehouse Driver will perform all tasks in the completion of all phases of product handling, adhering to product specifications, company policy, and accepted standards. This role is within the Amarr Door Department and will report to the Service Manager. Responsibilities:
- Complete production orders accurately and safely in a timely manner
- Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr’s policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books, safe driving, etc.)
- Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times
- Accurately pull and stage product for customer pickup and load, avoiding damage to Amarr delivery trucks, trailers, and customer vehicles
- Review and inspect loaded material for accuracy with the dealer prior to them signing for the material
- Unload and accurately receive incoming product; includes inspecting for and reporting damage
- Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations
- Perform required light assembly tasks within the guidelines of product specifications
- Operate vehicle to transport material to assigned destinations no more than 24 hours per week
- Maintain Federal/State required DOT logs
- Assume responsibility for handling and safely returning delivery customers’ cash and checks used to pay for invoices on delivery
- Provide personal attention to customer requests, or product needs during all customer interactions
- Provide assistance to Door Center Management to ensure building and product security; including inventory & damage control
- Perform work in non-climate controlled warehouse facility, walking distances up to 200 feet
- Must have manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand /power tools, and be comfortable lifting 50-75 pounds
- Ensure good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
- Successfully complete internal Amarr Driver Training Program
- High School Education
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license (including endorsements/class requirements as per State & DOT regulations)
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to learn product and work under pressure
- Motor vehicle report must meet Amarr driver standards
- Previous experience is desirable
- Clear and effective written and oral communication skills
- Courteous, customer service oriented attitude
- Ability to work independently without constant direct supervision
- Mechanically inclined, and ability to operate power tools
